ACTING IN COMMERCIALS

Have a secret desire to be on TV?  Wonder if you can do it?  This workshop will explore aspects of acting in commercials, including: on-camera technique, analyzing copy and getting an agent. (High School – Adult)

KEEPING IT REAL: IMPROVING YOUR COMMERCIAL AUDITIONS

This workshop is geared to help actors improve their commercial or stage auditions by learning how to make their acting more believable. Students will learn how to analyze commercial copy, explore different acting styles and apply acting techniques that will help them be more truthful, interesting and, hopefully, more castable.  (High School – Adult)

 KIDS ON CAMERA

This workshop is geared for children who have a desire to learn about acting in commercials. Participants will learn camera technique, explore different types of commercials and learn about the do’s and don’ts of commercial acting. The last session on June 28 needs to involve at least one parent, in order for them to have an understanding of the business aspects of getting your child listed with a talent agent, getting headshots, attending auditions, etc. Parents are welcome to sit in on all sessions.  (Ages 9-14)

BELTING 101

Want to sing like a Broadway star or wonder how they do it? This workshop will help you discover your belt voice using musical theatrerepertoire and find musical numbers that suit your particular voice and personality for future auditions or just for fun!  (High School – Adult)

Think you’re funny? Want to try to be? This workshop is your chance to explore various aspects of performing stand-up comedy, including stage behavior, comedy writing, crowd work, developing a routine, getting yourself booked and much more. (High School – Adult)
