Inbox Theatre Company seeks 8 – 10 actors for a staged reading (October 16th) of an original script, MONSTER ISLAND

Monster Island tells the story of Phillip Hampton, who has been in a mental institution in New York since murdering a school mate at their bus stop five years ago when he was thirteen.  When his famous psychiatrist retires, he meets Dr. Lynne Rudolf who is convinced there is more to this case than meets the eye.

Casting the roles of:

Phillip Hampton – Age 18, vulnerable, brooding, capable of great compassion.

Dr. Lynne Rudolf – 30’s to 60’s (would like to cast on the older end of this spectrum), committed to discovering the truth about Phillip, idealistic, fearless almost to a fault.

Clora Hampton, Phillip’s mother – 40’s (Long Island / New York accent), has had her share of hardship, can seem coarse and uncouth, but loves her son fiercely.

Agent 1 – 40’s, Secret Service agent, committed to his mission.  Honor.  Code.  God.  Country.

Agent 2 – early 20’s, Secret Service agent, electronics expert (doubles as the Hospital Orderly)

Agent 3 – early to mid 50’s (doubles as The Old Man).

Joel Singer – 18 years old.  A big guy.  Mentally handicapped.

Dr. Peet –  30’s to 60’s, head of Psychiatric Medicine at Whitney Psychiatric Hospital.

Jimmy Jordan – Teens, psychotically cruel.
