Auditions for a staged reading of a new musical, Mirrors of Desire, by local composer, Billy Kirchen

“Mirrors of Desire”  a musical written by local composer, Billy Kirchen, will have it’s world premiere in Berlin, Germany in the Fall of 2011.


Veronika Nowag-Jones, the director from Berlin, Germany will be in Milwaukee to hold auditions along with the composer of the musical from September 26-30th. The local staged reading of the play as well as the auditions will all be held at St. Vincent Pallotti Church where Billy is the music director. St. Vincent Pallotti is located at 201 N. 76th Street. (Bluemound and 76th St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.)

Auditions are held on a first come first serve basis. Please prepare a short monologue and if you have a head shot, please bring that with you as well. Although it is a musical, there is no need to prepare a song as they will not be doing any singing for the reading.

Reading of Play:

September 29th

7 pm (The reading should take approximately 2 hours) 

The reading of the play will be video taped by Jody and Brad Jorgensen of Millenial Arts. The video taping of the reading is strictly to be used by the writers, director and choreographer in the development of the show and for no other purpose.

( ) have already spent 22 hours filming the making of this musical and will continue to film the making of Mirrors of Desire as they continue on the journey to Berlin.
