The Kohl’s Wild Theater will be holding auditions on July 22nd for the remainder of summer season at the Milwaukee County Zoo and the year-round touring program.  All roles are within an age range of 20-35.  Experience with musical theater, puppetry, and comedy improv is a plus.  For the audition, please prepare a 16-32 bar cut of a musical theater up-tempo as well as two contrasting one-minute monologues.  Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume.  Callbacks will be held Tuesday July 26th.

Program Information:

The Kohl’s Wild Theater is a participatory theater that uses drama, puppetry, games and songs to bring conservation messages to children and families.  Located in the children’s area of the Zoo, performances focus on conservation and the importance of caring for the animals and the environment.

Actors must be available for daytime rehearsals in the week of August 1st-5th.  Actors must be available to cover selected daytime performances at the Milwaukee County Zoo from August 6th-September 5th.  Fall rehearsals will begin September 12th and run through September 30th.  Starting October 1st, actors will be expected to cover 3-5 performances per week.  Understudy positions also available.  Starting pay is $11 per hour.  Actors are expected to work 20-30 hours per week.  Understudies will be given guaranteed performance dates.
