RESPONSIBILITIES
The Studio Programs Coordinator fulfills a critical customer service role for educational programming at the Wilson Center. The position reports to the Education Director and works closely with highly engaged Wilson Center
volunteers. Primary responsibilities include:
• Administer all visual arts, dance, music and theater studio classes and programs in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop program initiatives in conjunction with arts partner organizations.
• Hire instructors for selected programs.
• Purchase supplies for selected programs.
• Oversee registration for all studio classes and programs.
• Facilitate space usage.
• Develop and assist with education marketing initiatives.
• Assist with Studio Programs budget development.
• Supervise on-site program activity during weekday evenings (occasional Saturday coverage required as well).
QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self motivated; highly organized, creative and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work flexible schedule of weekday evenings and occasional Saturdays.
• Undergraduate degree in education, fine arts, arts administration or related field.
• Minimum two years arts education or program administration experience.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external partners (arts organizations, parents,
students, volunteers, etc.)
• Background in non-profit or educational organization a plus.
• Teaching experience a plus.
• Marketing experience helpful.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and Access) and database maintenance.
SALARY
Full-time position with benefits. Pay commensurate with qualifications and experience.
SCHEDULE
As the primary Education representative on site during programming hours, the work schedule for this position is structured around peak programmatic hours: Monday-Friday mid-day to close (1:00pm-9:00pm) with occasional
Saturday coverage required as well. Candidates must have the ability to work within this schedule.
