Hello all,

This is Jared Stepp, Milwaukee Producer of the 48 Hour Film Project. (milwaukee@48hourfilm.com)

Do you want to be a part of our seventh year in Milwaukee? Do you need some material for your resume reel?

Our filmmaking weekend is quickly approaching. Registered teams will start making their films at 7pm on June 14th. From there, they have 48 hours to complete a short film (7 minutes in length) and turn it in at our drop off location. Then these films are shown at the Oriental Theatre where they are judged by a panel of industry professional and by the audience. An awards ceremony follows a few days later where we crown the Best 48 Hour Film in Milwaukee.

I have noticed past entries that have not featured many of the talented writers, producers, directors, actors, and actresses here in Milwaukee. Several teams have expressed interest in collaborating with these disciplines but did not know how to initiate that conversation. That’s where I come in.

I am here to be an icebreaker. If you are interested in participating in this years project, please come to our events, create and enter a filmmaking team, or email me to be listed in our data base.

Friday June 14th – Sugar Maple – 6pm-7pm – Kick Off Event

Sunday June 16th – Studio Lounge – 6pm-8pm – Drop Off Event

Thursday June 20th – Oriental Theatre – 7pm-11pm – Premiere Screening

Friday June 21st – Rumor Lounge – 6pm-8pm – Wrap Party

Tuesday June 25th – TBA – 7pm-9pm – “Best of Milwaukee”/Awards Ceremony
