South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center Director

The South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic leader. The SM PAC Director is responsible for the entire Performing Arts Center, including supervising staff, scheduling the facility, planning the annual performing arts series, negotiating contracts, fundraising, managing the budget, and marketing. The SM PAC Director works with a dedicated Performing Arts Council, marketing director and technical director, as well as many part-time staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have the mindset and desire to lead the SM PAC in both the arts and business side. Experience working in the business side of a PAC or theatre is strongly preferred, with an emphasis and desire to lead in the areas of fundraising, grant writing and budgeting. Experience working in the technical side of a PAC or theatre is helpful to understand the workings of the SM PAC. The Director will have a love of the arts and a passion for bringing arts to our school, community and beyond.

In addition, the SM PAC Director will ideally have experience with non-profits; marketing; contract negotiation; event planning; creating and updating a strategic plan; supervising employees; and day to day operation of a theatre. The SM PAC Director will work days, nights and weekends based on the PAC schedule. Finally, the ideal candidate will be well-organized, friendly, out-going, collaborative and have an innate drive for hospitality toward our guests and performers.
