Umbrella Group Theatre will launch its latest production, William Mastrosimone’s gripping play, Extremities, from May 7 – 23, 2015.

Directed by Casey Harding Helm, William Mastrosimone’s play features Ashlea Woodley, Marcus Beyer, Layna Davis, and Katlin Drew. Umbrella Group Theatre’s own Bo Johnson is set designing. Dana Brzezinski designs costumes, and Kevin Wleklinski designs lighting. Kara Penrose and JJ Gatesman will orchestrate stage violence.

Extremities portrays an attempted rape, and the gripping aftermath, as the victim turns the tables on her attacker. This intense drama explores themes that are as relevant today as they were 30 years ago when the play was written.

Extremities is presented in partnership with The Healing Center of Milwaukee, a local organization that supports survivors of sexual violence. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support The Healing Center. More information on The Healing Center is available on their website at

The show will run from May 7 – 9, 15 – 16, & 21 – 23, 2015 at 7:30pm with a matinee on May 17, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Studio 013 Theatre inside the Helfaer Theatre at Marquette University, 525 N. 13th Street.
