EURYDICE AUDITIONS – ROUND 2! (video & in-person)

Thank you to those who came to the first round of auditions for EURYDICE! Due to scheduling conflicts of the original audition date, we are holding a second round of auditions to allow more opportunities to more people.

If you auditioned in Round 1, you do not need to audition for Round 2. Thank you for your time, and you will be contacted once the cast list is finalized after the second round of auditions.

To audition, please complete one of the following options:
1) In person auditions will be held on Mon. Aug 22 at Inspriration Studios from 6-9pm. Please email EurydiceAuditions@gmail.com to reserve a slot. Please also email your head shot and resume, and also bring a physical copy of each to the audition.
2) Video auditions will be accepted until 9pm on Tues. Aug 23. Please email your video with your head shot and resume to EurydiceAuditions@gmail.com.

Please prepare one of the following options:
1) Two monologues, one contemp and one classic
2) One contemp monologue and a few bars of a song to be sung a cappella. (chose a song that shows your vocal strengths in an intimate space)

If you are auditioning for the role of ORPHEUS and can play a musical instrument, please include a sample of that in your audition. Any instrument!

We are particularly seeking males of ALL ages, as well as additional females. All ethnicities and gender identities are encouraged to audition!

Rehearsals: First read through will be early September, regular rehearsals on weekday evenings through September and October.
Performance dates: 7:30 PM October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29 and a 2PM Matinee on October 30.

About the show:
In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.
