This inaugural theatre production introduces the Arts@Large Performance Collective housed in the recently renovated historic Polish House (1890) at 1100 South 5th Street, and features Ashley Jordan (playing Lisa) and Jacque Troy (playing Ruth) in a heartfelt comedic drama that explores the complicated relationship between an aging, Jewish writer and her aspirational protégé.

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is seeking Stage Management Interns for the 2012-2013 season.

Available contracts are as follows:

Broken and Entered           August 28, 2012-October 14, 2012

Collected Stories                October 23, 2012-December 16, 2012

Underneath The Lintel*      January 22, 2013-February 22, 2013

Jeeves In Bloom                 March 12, 2013-April 28, 2013

Duties include rehearsal hall setup, assisting with scene shifts, preparing run sheets and being on book during the rehearsal period; rehearsal set-up, finalizing run sheets and backstage set-up during tech week; being an active member of the run crew for tech and performance; and assisting with minimal strike duties immediately following the final performance.

This position allows the intern to work closely with professionals in their field and observe the process of an established professional theatre company. Interns will have the opportunity to hone their existing skills and learn some new ones with guidance from an AEA stage manager and others.

This position requires attendance at all tech and performance calls.  Rehearsal hours may be negotiable. All rehearsals and performances will be held at the Broadway Theatre Center.  This is an unpaid position; class credit may be arranged.

*UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL will be a rehearsal contract only, no performance duties required.

Wardrobe Supervisor Positions Available

at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is hiring the position of Wardrobe Supervisor for four shows in our 2012-2013 Season:  BROKEN AND ENTERED, COLLECTED STORIES, UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL and JEEVES IN BLOOM.  Productions begin late September of 2012 and end early May of 2013.

Duties shall include, but are not limited to: preparing the dressing rooms and stage for all wardrobe needs; assisting the designer with load-in, costume repairs and rigging during tech; maintaining run sheets; presetting, tracking and maintaining costumes; coordinating and executing quickchanges; laundry, drycleaning and maintaining wardrobe supplies for the duration of each production; cleaning and organizing all costumes and dressing rooms at strike.

MCT will consider hiring for the entire season or on a show by show basis.
