$15 TICKETS for Lost In Boston at the Oconomowoc Arts Center this weekend January 3 & 4!

Lost In Boston is an entertaining look at writing Broadway musicals and some songs that didn’t make the cut (often getting trimmed out of town in places like Boston). Joel Kopischke, Rána Roman, & Ryan Cappleman will bring rediscovered gems to light from Hamilton, Guys and Dolls, Waitress, Company, Something Rotten!, South Pacific, Kiss Me Kate, Once On This Island, and what was originally called East Side Story, including the story of how East became West Side Story, tales of the 3 discarded movie musical versions of lyrics to one of the greatest pop songs ever recorded, musical theatre legends being told they wrote the worst song ever, composers stealing from others and themselves, how Wicked snuck a little Wizard of Oz into his score, and more surprises from shows (and movie musicals) old and new.

The Deer Hunting Musical That Promises More Bang For Your Buck…

This is a wacky and wonderful excursion into the world of Wisconsin deer-hunting. Join Fritz and Duane as they travel Up Nort’ to get away from it all, and wind up crossing paths with a magical talking deer!

Fritz Dingleheimer, a local mill-worker, heads Up Nort’ for that much-needed break in his routine. Puzzling over what to get his wife of 30 years for Christmas, and numbed by the mindless repetition of his job at the Nekoosa paper mill, this “Wizard of Whitetails” can’t wait to drink in the peace and quiet and beer found in the northern pines.

It would all be perfect, except this time around his only companion is oddball, Duane Puddles. He is a non-hunter, “bambi-lover” whose primary skills seem to be talking and knitting.  Duane is dating Fritz’s daughter, Susie, who’s arranged for him to go with her father so the two men can “bond.” Duane plans to marry Susie, and hopes to impress Fritz and gain his blessing on this trip. Fritz isn’t so sure.

This show is for hunters and non-hunters alike.  GUYS & DOES explores the hunt for deer, as well as, the other things we all hunt for – validation, job satisfaction, significance, love and the perfect Christmas gift for your spouse.  This musical comedy will have you laughing hysterically in your seat.  It’s a perfect way to spend the holiday.
