Position/details:
The Oconomowoc Arts Center (Oconomowoc Area School District, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin) seeks qualified candidates for a Technical Manager/Event Coordinator. This position will manage and coordinate all events in the arts center complex of performance spaces including professional series, school events, community rentals and programs and corporate functions. The person will need advanced skills in digital audio and lighting engineering, rigging and technical construction. Experience in lighting and scenic design also preferred.
The position will also coordinate, supervise and train production staff, students and, when necessary, community volunteers. The position will design and coordinate two high school productions per year and be available as a consultant to other district campuses on production matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in technical theater production; extensive experience in current audio and lighting systems, rigging and technical construction, professional event set up/technical rider execution and staff/crew supervision necessary. Computer proficient, including electronic drafting and CAD drawing programs is also important. The person for this position should demonstrate good organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
This is a 10 month (mid-August to mid-June), full time, salaried position with benefits. Application review to begin immediately. Deadline for applications is June 21, 2013.
